i've been thinking about learning some simple for of shaolin kung fu like, Xiaohongquan, just for kicks. but are there any physical benefits that come with it? ie. speed,, concentration, etc..?

is Xiaohongquan a good form to learn for beginners? i heard it was like the gist of shaolin gong fu, or something...

I just wanna learn some traditional stuff for once, besides it looks pretty sweet too.

...the Xiaohongquan is the gateway set. It opens the door.

Tai tzu Chang Chuan is more advanced. Infact, from what i gather, it's like 700-800 moves long, and taught in 16-18 sections.

Of course then there's the 32 move form commonly seen too :D
