What's your favorite video clip or movie clip that shows your Wing Chun tastes:

e.g.

1. Prodical son - the scene where the NinJa people attack Ching-Ying Lam
(see: http://home.earthlink.net/~grendel/lcy/Biography.htm)

I like the fighting here also the fight with the Eagle Claw/Mantis guy on the Bridge. The instructional part is also very fun and informative to watch.

Even though this film is all choreography, it is very well done throughout. (One of my non Wing Chun favorite is Jet Li's Fist of Legend. )

Perhaps you have a favorite instructional video and a particular fighting sequence/demo turns you on and inspires you.

If you practice your Wing Chun right after you watch some of these movies then your Wing Chun will be 15% faster right away.

For the new comers to Wing Chun, I would recommend to see thr Prodical son to give some theoretical idea about Wing Chun's possibilities.

It's unlikely we will see any top Wing Chun fighter take on a top Ultimate fighting/K1/K3/Pride/Thai etc. kind of fighter and have it look like the movie action sequences. But it's nice to dream.

I didn't think the prodigal son fighting looked very wing chun like to me...

They didn't use the squared off stance very often and turned to the side to get more range, which is something I didn't think wing chun did very often...

Also, the main character (the one who had poor kung fu) didn't seem any more wing chun like after he started learning :-P.

But, that movie is one of my favorites anyway... for kung fu fighting atleast :-P

I'd have to say the first fight scene in Jet Li's new movie "Hero"
For the cinematography at least. then I'd have to say the "chi gun" fight scene at the end of the movie, "Equilibrium"

BTW, TWC doesn't fight square on and it is WC.

"BTW, TWC doesn't fight square on and it is WC."

Well, what I mean is you fight in a way so that BOTH hands can reach the target at the same time... thats what I mean by square.

In the movie the Wing Chun teacher told his student to "turn you body when punching to increase reach and present a smaller target". It looked like only 1 hand could reach at a time.

I'm correct in that, right, hehe?
