I didn't know where to put this thread so I decided to place it here since this forum sees the most activity and since I post here most often...

I was wondering if anybody uses or has used the Wipss Brainpad Mouthguard. They claim alot but so far I come up empty when trying to find actual reviews or ratings of this product. It's significantly more expensive than other mouthguards on the market today. Goes for $30 CAN.

My old guard was a TKO Extreme Comfort Double Mouthguard. It basically looks the same as a Barinpad only a bit smaller. Wondering if Brainpad is just marketing fluff and the same as any double mouthguard on the market today.

Also if anybody knows are the Everlast Brainpads the same as the normal Wipss ones just that they distribute it or are there differences? There's also another brand called Shock Doctor out there. I have no clue how that differs from the Wipss ones.

Anybody who spars hard or does full contact stuff please let me know your opinions and experiences with any of these items or others you may have found good/bad.

Thanks.

Go to a dental technician and get one made.

They fit a hell of a lot better and are more comfortable then the off the shelf product.

Although if will cost a few extra $ its well worth it.

is that what you use now?

have you in the past then had experiences with brainpad or shock doctor? shock doctor claims using a lower section makes the jaw prone to a break/dislocation from the side (ie. hook punch). Yet brainpad claims that is needed to create the safety space preventing the jaw from slamming into the skull.

maybe i should check with my dentist :)
