Been reading some old post and I still see the stale mate over different factions saying that they represent the true Hung Kuen or Wong Fei Hung.

In reality no body represents him. Wong had many teachers and formulated his own system. I've never seen any other Hung Kuen branch outside of theWong Lineage that resembles it close enough.

2nd all of Wong's disciples had already learned other styles from other teachers before learning from wong. Anythey incorporated these items into their styles so they can't be a "true" representative since they have already changed the wong's teachings.

Am I totally wrong?

Does it really matter? Hung is Hung. It all looks like Hung, most of the Hung schools train fairly similar, and in the end, if you didnt make it 'yours' then you are sort of a toy martial artist. So who cares...if it has Sei Ping Ma, Iron Bridges, and the Hung Mindset, it more than likely works pretty well. Why ever try to find divisions between schools, when all CMA styles are slowly losing some of their techniques to generations of laxidasical (sp?) students and teachers. Train hard, and live your style instead of talking about others.

Ngok Fei:

Why the interest in Hung so much do you practice it? If so, What is it you really want.
WFH is seen as the Patriarch of the Hung Style. His students had studied other styles as many in that time had.
As for the question of variety of flavor when playing the form that is to the practitioners liking.

IMHO do not open another pandora's box.
