Greetings,

Can someone recommend a good place to order a pair of Thai Pads? I need a high quality pair, that will withstand constant impact, that will hold up for a long time. Thanks!

Century's thai pads = crap.
No stores around here sell them...
I have an extra heavy bag however, so CPA and myself take turns setting it on a chair with a knee in the back of it to give it bend, and just use it like a giant thai pad.

i'll second the fairtex pads. we've had some at my school for our muay thai class, and they've held up i think since i started back in 1999.

What? Are Thais the only guys on the planet to make their own pads?

either Kwon or Fairtex. I've personally had the same Kwon Thai Pad for years and it's taken some strong hits and it still can take a ton more. Fairtex has a good name, but I've yet to use their products. There are basically 2 types as I see it, the big, bulgingly bulky kind with the forearm buckle; those things get to be hard as rock! but they're really good. Then the one I use by Kwon is pretty nice looking and the fore arm strap is velcro. That one is real good at absorbing impact and it can really take a beating well! I've used it for years.

Well, I'll be honest, our thai pads aren't the toughest at all, which is why we call them thai "style" pads. But they're half the price of most high quality pads so if you can get more than half the life out of them, it's a bargain. knock off pads here (http://store.yahoo.com/martialartsmart/vinthaisstri.html);)
