first of all, i got one question, an that is should i stretch after class? we spend about 15, to 20 minutes in class on stretching. now what would stretching after class do good for? or is it sufficient enough with the stretching i do in class?

i'm not sure about how all u stretch, but i've read a bunch of stuff saying ballistic stretching should be avoided; thats how we stretch at my gym. n let me say, my teacher is more than qualified so dont give me any bs lecture trying to disprove this. hell for u stretching aficinados out there, check this link out:

check out the "shaolin stretching" from one of the big wushu schools in mainland china.

let me just say, i dont have anything against static stretching, i just wanted to prove a point there. anyhoe, i was just wondering if anyone could give me a piece of info on static stretching. i only got class 3 times a week, so i gotta stretch at home to keep limber. though, i dont always feel like warming up prior to stretching so i figure static stretching would do. i'm not sure how to go about though, so if anyone got any advice to give me, i'd appriciate it. thanks

lol @ the guy waving the stick around as "Ba Gua Stick"

Ballistic or dynamic stretching is kind of contraversial. Without correct form and if you push yourself too hard too fast, it is quite easy to some damage to yourself. Used correctly, it is an invaluable training tool though.

Stretching after class would be good for keeping the limberness. And for keeping the tightening effect from not happening as soon at least. Theoretically.
