Hey has any1 heard of the "AB belts" and mucle stimulation pads that are available. i was thinking of gettin one. It'll be easier than doing 1500 sit ups a day! (lazy i know) :D Basically, has anyone used these mucle toning pads? are there any side effects? and most of all, are they even safe??! x

They don't work. I believe the manufacturers are being sued by the us government but i'm not sure.

Fact is if you want to get in shape you must do the work YOURSELF. No machine can do it for you.

(sighs as he begins typing)
There is nothing that beats exercise, plain and simple. Forget short-cuts and pills. Pills can be dangerous and cause stroke, the pads might get wet and electrocute you(;) ). YOu don't need to do 1000 situps anyway, since they don't really target your abs anyway. Try crunches(done the right way, to about a 30-35 degree angle, leg lifts and hanging knee raises to target all areas of your abdominals. It shouldn't take longer than ten minutes if done correctly.:D

1000 crunches would be useless anyway, unless you want ab endurance. 1000 crunches won't change your appearence any more than 20 will.

Those electric belts are useless. They wouldn't "tone" you anyway. "Toning" is a product of reducing your body fat so that the muscle is visible. Doing situps or crunches is not going to do anything at all for your "tone" (unless you have a very low body fat to begin with, and underdeveloped muscles).
