This place is wierd. This link is just a little hint to me that the site is a hoax. I just can't picture monks promoting the temple be saying "the real sh*t." What do you guys think?

Probably the most informative Shaolin site on the web. Doc seems to be a good guy, and an excellent forum.

I still think it is kinda strange...

That site is freaking huge, you should look into it some. Yeah, the shirt may be weird, but well, whatever. It is put up by a guy who is (don't quote me on this) a lay deciple of a monk in China. I forgot his name, but it is all over the site. The site definitely not a "hoax" but I could see the how hypocracy can be seen by that statement. The guy (Doc) goes to China all the time to train and travel, he is a retired doctor (hence doc) from Vegas (I think). All in all it can be an informative site.

Anyone know what program they used to build that website? I think it's killer.

Check out the letters section. He got in trouble for bringing a bunch of monks to Hooters. hahahaha. A great one in the forum from a guy who's sifu can walk on water because of "meridans in his foot"

Doc's a cool guy. I been posting there for a few years now, even though i don't train in shaolin. He's honest and straight up and has a twisted sense of humour but he promotes Shaolin in his own way :)

There's also a good group of ppl on the discussion forum who know their stuff. i think some post here also sometimes?

We are both disciples under Warrior Monk Shi Decheng. In fact, Dr. Rich Russell had me write a forward to his site along time ago. He's quite a character, a trouble maker with a heart of gold, loves his dogs, and a good church going man. He also has a great sense of humor and the biggest backyard Vegas pool I've ever seen complete with a fireplace in the faux cave hot tub. He got his black belt through United Studios of Self Defense, then discovered Shaolin Temple and has been hooked to Shaolin ever since.
And for the record, I disavow any knowledge of the hooters incident.

The Tours sound pretty cool. If I had money and time I would think of going.

And as I looked at the diamond it became an egg and the egg became a bird which flew away. I looked down and there was no shell.

I like that site, it's pretty interesting.

I think it's a pretty cool site. A while ago I downloaded just about all the forms movie clips, which I still watch from time to time.

It's one of Doc's nicknames... so no real meaning. :)

I communicated with Doc for ages about going to China with him.
Nice guy. Really helpful.

His real name is Rich Russell, but he often wore this Rambo-style headband, and he's a pretty big dude (at least twice my size except where it counts) so Russell became Russbo. It's actually his most flattering nickname - I won't go into the rest... Like I said we are disciple brothers and very good friends.

I think he once said he uses Front Page to make his site.

I would recommend his tour - he's been to Shaolin plenty of times and would be able to get you into some good closed door stuff. If you do go, tell him I sent you and maybe he'll treat me to lunch or something.

The form films are pretty neat. They are how I found out about the site, I downloaded one from Morpheus, anyways... I take back what I said about this site the first time, it's just his way of promoting the temple is different and I am scared of different stuff most of the time.

Yes, it is made with FrontPage.

I used to post there a great deal, but no any more. I recommend the discussion forum.
